Nutritious green dip


This quick and simple easy to make dip or a chutney is nutritious and healthy! A combination of green leafy veggies and sprouts, this doubles as a side dish to eat with a meal or you can just eat this with one of your favourite snacks! Chutneys can be made from almost any combination of veggies abd fruits by adding an assortment of herbs and spices to it. Most chutneys can be served in hot as well as sweet forms depending on the type of accompaniment it has been made for. Both the forms of chutneys will contain a moderate amount of spice, but they are differentiated by their subtle flavours.

What you need to make the chutney

  • 2 tbsp sprouted mung raw
  • 2 tbsp mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh coconut
  • 1 teasp cumin seeds (jeera)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste

To make the chutney just add all the ingredients in a blender and blend till it makes a smooth paste. Serve as an accompaniment with a meal or a snack.
