Fab DIY summer face masks


Summers are here! It is time to take good care of your skin because the summer causes not just dehydration, but it also damages the skin because of the exposure to the heat and sun.  Summer often gives way to skin issues that include tanning , pigmentation and oiliness. We have listed a few quick fixes for you that will help you battle those skin issues this season, The best part? You don’t have to step outside your home to get these fixes. You can do it right at the comfort of your home and with ingredients available in your kitchen. Get ready to keep your skin healthy and fresh in summers from the comfort of your home with these awesome homemade DIY facemasks.

Almond face scrub for glowing skin

This homemade face scrub made from almonds can add that instant glow to your tired and tanned skin. Use this scrub for at least a fortnight (daily) on normal to dry skin for the best results. If you have an oily skin, use this not more than twice a week.

What you need:

• 3-4 Almonds

• Milk to soak the Almonds.

Making the scrub:

Soak the almonds in milk in the morning and in the night grind it to a fine paste. Apply this on the face and neck and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Use it as a mask. When dry, wet the mask a bit and rub in circular motions to exfoliate the dead skin. Wash off with lukewarm water. Pat dry gently. Using it as a mask will nourish the face while the scrub will add the extra glow to the skin.

Melon and Cucumber mask 

This is a perfect summer rinse for your face. It helps to cool the skin and lighten the pigmentation and tan to reveal healthier skin.

What you need:

• Cucumber juice 2 tbsp

• Watermelon juice 2 tbsp

• Yogurt 1 tsp

Making the mask:

Mix all the integredients and apply on your face for about fifteen minutes. The juice of the watermelon helps in clearing the skin and acts as a toner. Cucumber juice lightens the skin and the yogurt softens your skin. You can use this mask at least thrice a week for all skin types.

Oatmeal and Tomato Mask

Oatmeal helps to exfoliate your skin gently. In this mask you will need to use oatmeal powder that can be made and stored at home. Blend the oats into a fine powder and store in an airtight container.

What you need:

• Oatmeal powder 2 tbsp

• Tomato juice 1 tbsp

• Yogurt 2 tbsp

Making the mask:

Blend all the ingredients together to make a smooth paste and apply on your face for 20 minutes. When dry, pat it gentlya nd wet it. Use circular motions to let the mask act as a scrub and wash off with cold water. Apply a light moisturizer of your skin feels very dry.
