Lavender – The essential oils of lavender has been used for years and it is known for its relaxing effects on the body. Pure and therapeutic-grade lavender essential oils are also extremely beneficial for skin care. When applied topically it can help to cleanse cuts, bruises and soothe skin irritations. Its calming properties help you relax an unwind after a tiring day. Add a few drops of lavender essential oil to the diffuser to induce a relaxing sleep. You could also add a drop of lavender oil to a cotton ball and keep it close to your pillow to aid a better sleep. Mix a drop of lavender essential oil with coconut oil and use to massage your scalp to eliminate dandruff.
Peppermint – This oil is known for its energizing and rejuvenating properties, peppermint helps to pep up a tired you. Peppermint essential oil gives a cooling sensation and is known to have a calming effect on your body. You can mix it with a carrier oil and apply it on sore muscles to get instant relief from aches and pains. Add a few drops in the diffuser to clear the stagnant air. You can also add a few drops of the oil to a bowl of water and store this in a dispenser bottle. Use it to clean the kitchen surfaces.
Basil – Basil acts a wonderful purifier and is an important herb to combat health issues. The health benefits of basil essential oil include its ability to treat motion sickness or digestion related issues. Tea tree – Tea tree oil is one of the mpst beneficial oils to have at your home. Commonly referred to as “a medicine cabinet in a bottle,”, it is often used to treat a variety of ailments ranging from acne to fungal infection or an athelete foot. When mixed with bathing water it can help reduce rashes or skin infections. Add a few drops of the essential oil in a dispenser bottle with water and use it as an all purpose cleaner. Add a drop in a glass of water and use it as an instant mouthwash.
Clove – It is not one of the most widely used oils, but this is one of our most preferred oils for the many uses it has in our daily life. Ádd a drop of this oil to your favourite moisturizer to combat dry and itchy skin. If you have an aching tooth, just apply a drop of the oil at the affected area to reduce the symptoms of pains and swelling. It also makes an excellent cleansing agent for metals, add a drop to the metal surface and rub with a clean cotton cloth. You can also add it in the diffuser and let it act as an instant insect repellent!
