Ayurveda: for physical vitality
“When diet is wrong medicine is of no use. When diet is correct, medicine is of no need.”-Ayurvedic Proverb
Ayurveda(Ayu–life, Veda–knowledge) is the ancient Vedic “science of life and longevity." Itbelieves that all ailments/diseases are manifestations of imbalances in the body and seeks to restore this balance through nutrition, herbal medicine, natural therapies and meditation. It aims to not only prevent disease but also to preserve health.
Widely acknowledged as being the world's oldest system of healthcare, Ayruveda however, is more than just a health care system. This 5,000 year old wisdom is a part of the world’s oldest Vedic spiritual system which achieves harmony between body-mind-spirit.
Ayurveda’s basic belief is that everything within the universeis composed of the five elements –panchamahabhoot: ether, air, fire, water and earth. These five elements are found in certain combinations or doshas- Vata, Pitta and Kapha. These are the three psycho-physiological functional principals of the body, the ratio of which determines our individual constitution or psycho biological make-up.When they are in their normal quantities and qualities, they maintain all healthy bodily processes and when imbalanced, they can cause illnesses and disease.
Our products integrate traditional Ayurvedic wisdom and healing with scientific research and offer many simple and practical solutions to beautify the hair and skin, prevent and heal disorders as well as cleanse and rejuvenate the body. The rest is history.
Yoga: for clarity of mind
Yoga (n. Sanskrit- to “link” or “join”)aspires for the “union” of the individual self with the Divine, Universal or Cosmic Consciousness. In essence, it aims to create a union/balance between body, mind and soul, and attempting to rectify disorders caused by any kind of imbalance. Through the practice of physical postures or asanasand breath regulation or pranayama yoga brings balance and clarity.
Yoga is beyond just being a time-tested science of systematically cleansing, balancing and strengthening our bodies, minds and intellect. It is a comprehensive life-system with well laid out ethical codes, aiming for the removal of ignorance and the realization of our true self.
Yogic study and practice rises one’s kundalini energy, or dormant spiritual energy, up from its dormant state through the seven chakras (energy wheels) to raise individual consciousness and merge it with the Infinite consciousness.
To live a meaningful life, Yoga suggests eight stages or paths to follow. They serve as ‘right-living’ guidelines moving you from the physical to the mental/spiritual realm:
- Yama or ‘rules of social conduct
- Niyama or ‘inner discipline’
- Asana or ‘physical postures’
- Pranayama or ‘breathing exercises’
- Pratyahara or ‘control of the senses
- Dharana or ‘concentration/control of the mind’
- Dhyana or ‘meditation’, and
- Samadhi or ‘bliss, union’

Rasa: for emotional bliss
The Sanskrit word “rasa” literally means “juice, taste, flavour, essence.” Rasas are essentially the “flavours” of energy and emotion one feels in an everyday life situation and the awareness of them. Rasa Sadhanahelps us to master our emotions and promote health and happiness using Ayurvedic aromatherapy and the power of the sense of smell.
Rasas are the ‘essence’ of our emotions that exist in the body and the mind. The Tantrik tradition recognizes 9 Rasas or nava rasa that represent our basic emotions: love, anger, humour, disgust, courage, sadness, fear, wonder and peace.
Aromatherapy is a part of the rasa; it entails the inhalation of plant oils known as essential oils(the pure essence of the plant). The theory is that when pure therapeutic gradeessential oils (pure, unadulterated and correctly extracted) are diffused, their molecules are inhaled through lungs and absorbed into the bloodstream and messages are transmitted to the Limbic system. The Limbic system controls emotions and are able to affect moods and our emotional state of well-being.

Vastu: for external harmony
“When inner space and outer space resonate together in harmony then peacefulness, vitality, health, prosperity, and dynamic, ecstatic creativity become the natural order and effortless experience."Brahmarishi Mayan, circa 10,500 BC
VastuVidya; the Vedic science of ‘architecture’ is in accordance with the laws of nature. Based on the principle that the inner and the outer cosmos are but one, Vastu is the practical application of creating balance by building environments that take advantage of the power of space, celebrate the human spirit and respect and protect our environment.
There are five basic elements in nature(panchabhootas)- Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Space that sustain life and maintain equilibrium on our planet. Vastu Shastra are scientific precepts of construction that take into account the influences of thesefive elements along with the various forces of nature; influences of the magnetic field and gravitational effect of the Earth, the nine planets and their movements, seasonal effects like the velocity of the winds, light and heat of the sun, rainfall etc.
