Ancient civilizations, cultures and religions of Egypt, the Mayas, Incas, Olmecs, Mesopotamia, Sumeria, Greece and Rome are long gone, and their traditions can be learned only by digging into the ground and reconstructing the pieces of archaeological evidences. But there is one tradition with roots deeper than all mentioned above, which is still living, unchanged - The Vedic Civilization of India.

In ancient times it spread from Persia up to half of South East Asia, from the Himalayas to Sri Lanka. It spread its influence across the globe for over tens of thousands of years, and numerous civilizations, religions, and nations carry many of its marks. What is this tradition, with its sophisticated theological understanding, complex vision of the Universe in which we live, calculation of time which spans millions of years, before and after us, its art theories, medical science, military science, and political science?

Omved serves to answer the above-mentioned question through its Vedicpedia. It is meant to instigate and inspire us to look further into this profound heritage.
