Natural herbal incense has been known since ancient times for its beneficial influence on body and mind. According to the Vedic tradition, herbal incense enhances health, induces inspired thought, and creates a peaceful state of consciousness. Millenias ago, the Vedic sages burned aromatic woods, herbs, and spices so that the fragrances would rise up to the heavens carrying their prayers to the gods.

They knew that through the burning of incense (aromatic herbs and other botanical elements) the sense of smell, which bypasses the rational mind, (a scientifically proven fact today) can affect the more subtle layers of the human being, bringing about balance and harmony, thus promoting good health and well-being, enhancing the mood, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

The Bhakti Deity Incense range is remarkable quality traditional Vedic incense made using the same ingredients that used to be in abundance and employing the methods practised of the ancient times. Nag Champa, Sandalwood, Agarwood, Frankincense, Loban, Jatamansi, Jasmine, Lotus, Rose and other typical herbs, woods, resins and flowers have been blended in various combinations.

The incense are blends of specific botanicals and essential oils, which, when reach the brain can exert specific effects on the mind and body. Each aroma has its own healing property and triggers specific emotional reactions. Particular incense blends (sticks and pyramid cones) are burned for getting in tune with certain energies represented through the respective deities. For instance; for prosperity and success the incense which has been specially blended to appease Ma Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity when burned will trigger those emotions of determination and ambition, required for achieving success.

These spiritual aromas are wonderful to use before going into meditation, to calm our senses, internalise our beings or to connect with Divinity. They are purifying to the atmosphere and help remove unwanted thoughts.

We hand roll (never mass produce) Natural Bamboo sticks into Jeegat (natural bark), Sandalwood powder and ground vegetable coal. The finest spices, herbs, fragrant woods, flowers, exotic oils and other natural ingredients are carefully selected for their positive influence—and skillfully blended with this base.

They are classified as authentic Masala Incense, since the natural essential oils are added before rolling and they have real herbs blended with sandalwood unlike the ordinary commercial ones which are merely dipped in fragrances. No synthetic fragrances, No glue and No dung (like most others) enabling us to create non-toxic incense sticks suitable for use indoors. These deity incense burn with a minimum amount of smoke & do not release black smoke that is generally found with charcoal and sawdust incense. These sticks have a longer burning time than other incense. The result is a fresh and fragrant breath of conscious bliss.
