Vata

vata.jpg Vata dosha is a combination of Air and Ether and responsible for all movements of the body, mind and senses and the process of elimination.

Vata means 'to move' or 'to enthuse’. 

Vata types are generally imaginative, eccentric, exciting and excited.

Vata is imbalanced when you experience nervousness, anxiety, insomnia, dry skin and cold body temperatures.

 


Pitta

pitta.jpg Pitta dosha is a combination of fire and water and responsible for heat, metabolism, energy production and digestive functions of the body. Pitta means 'to cook' or 'to burn’.

Pitta types are warm, friendly, competitive, determined and independent.

Pitta is imbalanced when you experience irritability or hostility, skin rashes and sensitivity.

 


Kapha

kapha.jpg Kapha dosha is a combination of Earth and Water and responsible for physical stability, proper body structure and fluid balance.

Kapha means 'to stick' or 'keep together.'

Kapha types are loving, peaceful, compassionate, nurturing and supportive

Kapha is imbalanced when you experience lethargy, weight problems, water retention, excess congestion, acne or problem skin.

 


Tridosha

tridosha.jpgTridosha means neutral for all doshas. It is a combination of all three doshas, a wonderful balance.

Tri means three, and Tridosha means three doshas.

Tridosha types have a combination of a calm nature, yet a restless mind at times.
